My name is Ruth Graham, and I've been teaching belly dance classes in Four Oaks, Sutton Coldfield and Birmingham for 7 years

Recommended by the NHS as a great exercise for all shapes, ages and sizes, bellydance can offer you:

What are classes like?

The emphasis isn't on dressing up and being cliquey; it's about getting the most out of your lesson, having fun and making friends.
You'll be introduced to each other and made to feel welcome - nobody is embarrassed in my classes!
You progress at your own pace, and all levels are welcome.
Clothing
Just wear comfortable trousers or skirts and a loose top.
We generally dance in bare feet.
If you take to the dance, you may like to get a coin belt to wear around your hips. These help add authenticity and help concentrate your moves in the right area.
